Why should you recycle your paint? So that old unused paint does not end up in landfills or waterways, and so others can use it. For every 1 gallon of old paint that is recycled it prevents 115 pounds of carbon from being released into the atmosphere. Local Paint Recycling programs are available in most areas.
How to recycle your old paint:
1. Gather all your old paint you no longer need.
2. Take it to your local Recycling center that accepts old paint. In Nevada County that is the McCourtney Waste Transfer Station. You can call ahead for hours and location (530) 274-2215
